Moving on up... 36,37,38 weeks

Well newly acquired back pain has joined the list of side effects in the last few weeks (underneath my left shoulder blade - ouch!!). Its affecting my sleep quite a bit (which just means more naps for me when e is napping and less keeping the house clean).  But we have also managed to get ALOT done in Little Miss's room and our 'to-do' list in there is almost completely crossed off.
Maybe if I remember to take some pics we can do a full tour of that room soon.
In the meantime - here is my growing belly with our sweet girl (who has no name still)!

These were taken during our 'snow day' - so much fun!  Another whole post but basically a dusting of snow means no school and no work (we don't have plows and salt people!) so we got to spend a fun day at home playing and it just happened to fall on my 37 week - so daddy got to take some 'real' pictures of the belly.

I am getting to the point with my wardrobe that there really are only certain things that 'fit' - and the fickle weather is not helping me in this department.  Snow one day and 65 the next (well a few days later - but STILL!)  Just hoping the crazy weather doesn't lead to colds or flus or other maladies before labor!
We have a Dr appt this Friday - fingers crossed that mommy gaining only one pound in the last month has helped keep Little Miss's weight down too and Dr doesn't think she is 'too big'.  Mommy is gearing up for a 'big fight' to be able to have enough weeks for her to come on her own that we get a real shot at a successful VBAC.  Prayers and good thoughts are welcome!
Since we are getting closer to having the house 'ready' maybe I will have time to download more pics from the camera and do some other posts this week.  We shall see!

Other Things

Christmas?  Really?!?!  That was the last thing I posted about (a month after it happened?)  Well - there has been ALOT since then.  Nothing earth shaking, ground shattering, or the like.  But snow that shut down the South...
Frightening eh?  Well we took full advantage of our two days off work.  We played in the snow with the dogger (he love catching snowballs), we made chocolate cookies (come to think of it - those are a bit earth shattering - best chocolate chip cookie recipe - EVER), and cleaned out all our kitchen cabinets.  Yup, productive.
YUM!
Now that I've given up TV for Lent - I may just have time to go make another batch of those.  (or keep blogging... lets do that - see you tomorrow!)

Fickle Weather

Before we get too far removed from it - my dad wanted to see the snow we had here in the South.  The last one didn't last too long and only amounted in about 1/2 inch of accumulation (and even then only in Edgefield and not five miles down the road).  But over Valentine's weekend we had the Blizzard of the year for SC.  INCHES (I'm talking five or six! of snow!!)

This is a pretty significant event here in the deep south.... so I'll (pretty much) let the pictures speak for themselves.  (Only noting that Eric was at home with the dog - who LOVES snow and went nuts playing in it, and I was in Bowman for my knitting weekend with the girls - so we had different perspectives)

At our house...

In Bowman
(it was so gorgeous b/c we were so far out and the snow was totally untouched!)
Friday night...

Saturday morning

Now its 74 degrees and gorgeous!  Although I did enjoy the novelty of the snow down here, I'm glad that the South I know and love (and adopted as home) has finally decided to make a reappearance.  More on that tomorrow.
