27 Weeks

Well not technically - it was a day or so before - but a pretty good picture from my shower this weekend.  (Much more of the shower to come....)

Baby Buckeye

Our son will most definitely be a 'Tiny Tiger' but there is also a good chance he will be a 'Baby Buckeye' as well.  Growing up in Ohio the only real option is to be a Buckeye fan - and since I was headed back to the Buckeye state on Friday I decided Football Friday would be better celebrated in an Ohio State shirt this week.  So - here is our baby buckeye...

26 weeks

What pregnancy is like at 26 weeks:

I can:
still tie my shoes (sorta, on the side), throw a cast net, walk up the street with Eric in the evenings, see my toes, sleep pretty well, drink a glass of OJ (this might be my FAVORITE part of being pregnant)
I can't:
get away with a just a larger shirt (need maternity length), 'hop' out of bed, roll over without bringing the leg pillow with me, sleep all night without peeing (still only once a night though), eat without heartburn

I can:
Feel my baby move all the time
I can't:
Wait to meet him.

Shrimping 2011

This weekend was opening day of shrimping season in South Carolina.  Shrimping has been one of our favorite things to do as a couple for a long time now.  The season runs from the middle of September to the middle of November - but its always the most fun right at first - when the weather is almost still Summer-like.
Eric getting ready to toss the net

This year we also realized I may not be agile enough to toss a shrimp net or enjoy the rocking of a boat - so we went right away before things got 'too big' for me- lol.
WARNING - serious belly shots (I was trying to get a bit of a tan on this melon) and
DOUBLE WARNING - faint of heart or MOMs don't pass here...

Brave - wearing a two-piece at 26 weeks,
Braver - wearing it while tossing a cast net off the front of the boat :)
AND... although I hate that Eric always takes pictures of me from behind pulling in the cast net...I think its a bit redeeming here b/c although I looked like I swallowed a basketball above, I don't believe I look very pregnant from behind at all...

Moving on... we had a GREAT time!  We caught about 2/3 of a cooler full (our MO - we NEVER cooler out)

And we stayed out on the water popping heads and enjoying the sunset before heading back to the boat ramp.

We also snuck in a trip to the knit shop in Charleston and dinner at Fleet Landing (YUM!)  All in all it was a WONDERFUL day (did I mention we drove down to Charleston, did all this and drove home in a day?!?!)  But it was the most amazing day - filled with fun conversation, (gorgeous yarn), good company, beautiful scenery, amazing weather, good shrimping, yummy dinner and a safe trip.  *smiles*

How was your weekend? :)
*please excuse that all pictures were taken from my crappy cell phone camera - we brought the nice camera and forgot it in the car!*

25 Weeks

Not loving this week's picture (my eyes are half closed) - but we have another 'Tiny Tiger' picture to go along with it - this shirt is a button up so next week I can still wear it by unbottoning - haha!
Enjoy - and GO TIGERS!

Tiny Tiger

Our little man will most certainly be a Clemson Tiger Fan (considering both of his parents graduated from there).  Today is the beginning of college football season 2011 and his mama loves some college football (I miss the cool weather, sweatshirts, and chili that accompany it up North vs. the 100 degree weather, sundresses and boiled peanuts down here - scratch that, I rather like the boiled peanuts - but I digress...).  Hot or cold, College Football is upon us!!  That is reason to celebrate and sport your college pride every Friday at work.  Today we pulled out our Clemson polo collection (work appropriate) only to find the brand new Clemson polo that Mama got for Christmas from Uncle Chad might not make it past the first college football weekend.  We eeked into it today and took a picture for posterity - but it maybe maternity orange shirts with Clemson stickers for this mama and our tiny tiger this football season.

A break from belly...

Today I'll give you a break from the belly shots - but just for today :)  This morning I was thinking that I never posted the rest of the Mullett photos and they might seem really out of place now (over a month later).  But I may just sprinkle them in here and there to show you some of my faves.  For today, I was thinking about this red headed wonder and how much I miss him.  I am soooo glad that I get to see him again in two weeks (I think this is going to be a good year for number of times seeing my nephew - hopefully next year we can match it!)

Although he is back at Mullett this weekend and maybe skipping rocks his Aunt Nikki isn't doing it with him - so I'm sure its not quite as fun.  :)
